What you are looking at above is the Chinese word for ‘Crisis’. So what, right? Well it’s actually a very interesting symbol.

The character on the left means “danger’, the one on the right signifies “opportunity”.

As you will hear me state a million times in later HappyHack blog posts – I believe your problems have a purpose.

I believe we are here to grow and become more. And how would it be possible to grow without a challenge? People rarely change spontaneously and voluntarily. It’s our problems that cause us to ponder, to reach outside our current comfort zone.

And that leads me nicely on to this point: What if you adopted the belief that there is no such thing as a bad event? That every experience, positive or negative, is a gift.

Instead of taking on a victim mentality and a, “Why does this always happen to me?” mindset, you’ll begin to ask, “Where’s the gift in this?”. “What’s good about this that I hadn’t noticed?”

And when you begin looking, you’ll find it. Your ‘setbacks’ in life will become ‘set-ups’.

What if you accepted that there's no such thing as a bad event? That every experience is a gift. Click To Tweet

Here’s the bottom line, guys: If you now begin to see and accept that all events in your life are necessary factors in your personal growth and evolution, you will rise superior from every painful situation. Nothing will overtake you.
